indexIpswich City Council in Queensland, Australia, need destination marketing to attract more tourists, as expressed by frustrated Floating Images owner Graeme Day declared.

Mr Day has his hot air balloon business across the Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Somerset regions.

He stated that the council didn’t help his business in growing visitation numbers.

“Our growth has happened because of the work that we’ve done,” he said.
“This year has been our second-busiest year but that’s from our own hard work marketing and advertising.”

Mr Day mentioned that he and his wife, Ruth, to secure tourists from the international tourism market, had been working really hard for all these days.

Pointing at Orion Lagoon, Mr. Day explained the level of regional promotion should be developed.

He also said that a recent addition to the site has been the mobile visitor information centre. The business owner called on the council to perk up its marketing and advertising of the region.

“It’s very frustrating because we’ve been saying this for over 10 years,” he said.
