In response to Washington’s recent travel ban against citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, including Iran, the country has stopped granting visas to U.S. citizens. Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, made the announcement.
“We will not issue visa for Americans,” semi-official Fars news agency quoted the FM as saying.
However, the FM said that there will be exceptions for some, whose cases will be referred to a committee, which has been set up at the (Iranian) Foreign Ministry.
U.S. President, Donald Trump, issued an executive order on Friday, to restrict immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries, including Iran, that he said are “compromised by terrorism.”
