Ireland has much to offer to the UAE nationals

Ireland was hit hard by the global recession for 10 years, and this made many people go overseas to find work in new, faraway sunnier locations like Dubai.

Tourism suffered too, with double-digit declines in both 2009 and 2010. However, a decade later, the trend has completely reversed, backed by a global marketing campaign that’s now worth more than $50 million.

Much of Ireland’s rich and varied history can be found in Dublin; from the Book of Kells in Trinity College (one of the world’s most famous and oldest book), to Kilmainham Gaol, which is the site of some of Ireland’s most heroic and tragic events.

Apart from Dublin, Galway is a city with a strong student population. It’s a vibrant city with a strong arts feel to it, with an enriching music scene.

A walking tour around the city will make one understand the rich history of the city that very much sounds like something from The Game of Thrones.

One can even head further west to Connemara for its sheer wild beauty, and maybe take a tour around Aran Islands, or the quieter Inisbofin.

Emirates airline and Etihad Airways both offer twice-daily direct flights to Dublin from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

UAE nationals can visit Ireland without a visa. In total, Ireland offers visa free or visa on arrival to 89 countries. All other nationals need to apply for a visa prior to visit.
