This 3 % percent hike is appreciated by the CEO of Tourism Ireland Niall Gibbons. He stated that the travellers from North America, Australia, Europe and Britain often visit Ireland. But due to the Brexit decision, the number of visitors from Britain was dropped about 6.8%. According to Niall Gibbons, “Competitiveness and the value for money message are more important than ever in Britain right now.” But he affirmed that, the places of attraction in Ireland allure the cultural minded people and they do not bother to travel for the money fluctuation.
The CEO of Tourism Ireland, Niall Gibbons also pointed on the further development of infrastructure on the tourism sector, as this nation is primarily dependent on the tourism and hospitality sector. At about 281,000 people are directly and indirectly reliant on the tourism sector in Ireland.
