A poll that was conducted earlier this month discovered that the collection of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns were thought to be the least impressive by underwhelmed travellers. The survey was undertaken by Irish Times.
They had asked a simple question to the participants on a popular social media platform about what according to them is the least attractive tourist sightseeing site in Northern Ireland.
Previously, the reviewers of TripAdvisor had described the Causeway as an unbelievably underwhelming site.
In that review they had all agreed that visiting the Giant Causeway did not leave them with any unique experiences and they found it to be quite ordinary. The masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci, Mona Lisa was also branded as underwhelming and one of the respondents said that she was not at all impressed with the ‘sad face’ of Mona Lisa that ‘did not live up to the history books’ owing to its tiny size.
The Empire State Building and the Niagara Falls were also not found to be truly spectacular.
