Island gem shines with a new five star award

yduali4gwr4qym4b0zhxThe house is a Category A Listed Georgian building believed to have been built by the Adam family for the Rev. James Stewart, Laird of Kilwhinleck, in 1760.

Evening meals can be arranged at The Coach House which boasts wonderful views south west across the Sound of Bute to the majestic hills of Arran. The three acres of mature and tranquil grounds are also surrounded by gently rolling farmland making The Coach House an ideal getaway. Ancient forts stand guard over the valley, and standing stones are evident in the adjacent fields with the stunning beach at St Ninian’s Bay just a short walk away.

VisitScotland star awards are indicators of quality and provide reassurance to guests. They help set expectation levels so that a visitor knows what to expect. VisitScotland offers support to businesses to ensure they meet and exceed the high standards expected by guests.

VisitScotland Regional Director, David Adams McGilp, said:

Our scheme is valued by consumers and businesses and our research shows that 95% of visitors say the Quality Assurance grade given meets their expectations. Our research also shows that 65% said that the star scheme influenced with the same percentageinfluenced by the star grade when choosing their accommodation.”

VisitScotland’s Quality Assurance scheme currently boasts over 7,000 participants and there are 94% of participants in the scheme have made an investment in their business in the last few years, totaling around £70 million. The scheme has been used as an example of best practice with countries all over the world, including Sweden and Namibia.
