Just off England’s South Coast, the Isle of Wight hosts several musical festivals each year. The largest is the Isle of Wight Festival – which this year hosts an incredible line-up, including headline acts such as The Who, Queen + Adam Lambert, Stereophonics and Faithless.
Isle of Wight Festival has collaborated with SecondScreen to create an exclusive app.
The partnership has produced an app that bridges the gap between the acts performing and the festival goers, allowing them to interact directly with unique, backstage content leading up to, and over the festival weekend of 9 – 12th June, at Seaclose Park.
If that’s not enough, Isle of Wight Festival App users will receive exclusive, first-look access to set times for all Main Stage and Big Top acts – ensuring festival goers don’t miss out on their favourite acts!
‘In the know’ Isle of Wight Festival App users can share video and photo content whilst receiving exclusive, VIP access to specific events and performances throughout the festival, via the newsfeed. Users will also be able to enter competitions and keep up to date with all performances and set times at the touch of a button.
SecondScreen – established by Niall Green – is based on creating local-networks for specific events and artists allowing users to share content that is relevant and timely, offering instant access to VIP backstage content and behind the scenes footage to fans.
As a pioneer of the festival circuit, whose heritage dates back over 45 years, Isle of Wight Festival is one of the first major festivals in the UK summer calendar. This year’s event is guaranteed to be better than ever, and is an amazing opportunity to further enhance the festival experience for fans via the app.
