The avowal was proclaimed first on 14th May in 1948 and by ending the British Mandate, Israel officially became Jewish homeland. Zvi Berenson was the man to make the first draft of the declaration.

All the roads and alleys, every nook and corner of the country gets decorated with Israeli flags and light. Artists perform on stage, in the streets, in the parks; everywhere in ecstasy. Activities that you can expect to come across are as follows:
When the entire country has a bash, the law enforcement officials stay vigilant than never before. So, if you are visiting Israel today or you are already there, be very careful to hold on to your passport, documents and other essentials. All the airports, stations, bus-stops, check points, public places, and important structures are kept under watchful eyes to avoid any mishap. You can expect to be stuck in the traffic for a while as well.
