Jakarta will absorb the workers of Alexis Hotel, as it was shut down

Alexis Hotel in North Jakarta.Jakarta officially the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, is the capital of Indonesia is going develop the sharia based hotels to absorb the workers who lost their jobs after the closure of the Alexis Hotel in North Jakarta. Jakarta claimed that the hotel was a breeding ground for prostitution business in the city.




Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said the city administration would cooperate with the Sharia Economic Society (MES) to train the workers and place them at hotels that would be developed to provide sharia-based services. But he did not elaborate the services.




He added that the sharia-based hotels were mushrooming in various capitals around the globe, namely in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and Tokyo, which helps in the influx of tourism.



Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno also said that they want to make sure that Jakarta is not left behind in the tourism business.




Sandiaga also announced that he would engage the Alexis Hotel’s workers in his entrepreneurship training program known as the One District One Center of Entrepreneurship to educate the workers about the sharia-based hotel culture.
