Farooq Ahmad Shah, Secretary Tourism of Jammu and Kashmir declared today that customized packages will be utilized to endorse MICE and golf tourism in the state. Shah also explained in a recent statement of the Tourism Department that spiritual tourism is kind of a ‘hot cake’ in tourism genre and will be promoted to attract people of different faiths as Jammu and Kashmir has assorted avenues and huge possibility for pilgrim tourism.
Shah also added that an aggressive campaign has been chalked out to vow tourists for post-Eid season especially in the MICE, Golf and spiritual sectors of tourism.
While talking in an interactive way with few big names in these segments, the secretary asked the media to discontinue needless projection and negative representation of Jammu and Kashmir to the world.
While talking about the publicity campaign post Eid, Shah said that the travel traders are by now in Delhi and Mumbai to put in order press interactions and specific meetings with Maharashtra travel traders so that they can attract more visitors to the state. The secretary further added that soon few golf events will be held in Srinagar followed by an amateur golf tournament organized in Pahalgam. Tourism Department officials, JKTDC officers and manager marketing SKICC attended the meeting.
