Japan is all set to welcome the very first spa-themed amusement park of the world. It would be established during this summer, in Japan’s Beppu City that is located at a distance of about an hour-and-half flight from Tokyo.
Last year, Beppu City had first teased audiences with the video.
The teaser had portrayed a concept of what the hot tub theme park would resemble. In the hot tub theme park, the visitors would need to jump inside the cable cars and carousels filled with water. They would be able to splash around in bathing pools and also lounge in steam-room gaming areas.
Yasuriho Nagano, the mayor of Beppu promised viewers that the park that would be known as Yeunchi would be begun to be constructed as soon as the video would reach one million views. Luckily, very soon, it crossed one million views.
Now, the city is making attempts to fundraise US $887,721 for this project. The crowdfunding campaign kicks off on 10th February.
Nagano said that the creators of the theme park harbor quite high expectations with regards to the development of the park. The city is already reputed for its hot springs, and this makes it a natural choice for such a unique attraction.
