Japanese-fusion restaurant chain Nobu to join Toronto hotel project

Master Chef NobuThe renowned Japanese-fusion restaurant chain Nobu has started expanding into Canada marking its foray into a combination hotel and condo complex located in Toronto.

 

The brand was founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, a chef, Meir Teper who is a Hollywood producer and Robert De Niro.  It is in the process of building two 49-storey towers that would include 700 condominium suites, hotel rooms and also a 1,400-square-metre restaurant on Mercer Street that is located towards the south of King St. W between Peter St. and Blue Jays Way.

 

The very first Nobu restaurant had been launched in New York in the year 1993.

 

And, the brand has expanded to different cities including New York, Moscow, Mexico City, Melbourne, London, Las Vegas, Dubai and Beijing. Nobu hotels are existent in cities comprising Riyadh, Miami, Manila, Malibu, California and Malibu.

 

Toronto is the first city where a restaurant would be integrated with highrise hotel and residences of the brand Nobu, as declared by the company on Wednesday in a release.
