Two days post the inter-ministerial council meet-up headed by the prime minister, the minister of state will get together and talk with great number of local actors in private and public. The minister would converse on measures to develop the tourism and side by side explore the export potential of the mountain leisure sector.
In Chambéry, the minister of state will be welcomed by the MND Group. It obtains an important portion of revenue from exports, not to forget. Also, it functions in all mountain sport sectors at same time in the urban cable transport market. In addition, the minister of state will talk with few leaders and employees to discuss and share firm’s strategy. Also, all those who are associated with the sector would get a chance to meet with the minister, particularly those who are connected with the mountain business cluster as the prospects for expanding the international presence of this French sector of excellence will be discussed thoroughly.
Moreover, this visit will be like a chance to have in-depth discussions on various confrontations alpine tourism is going through etc. To note, mountain leisure sector counts almost 26% of France’s tourist accommodation facilities. Each year, over 55 million skiing days are sold accounting a net profit of more than €3 billion. At present, the number of overnight stays in the mountains has been calculated to 75 million, a quarter of which comprise foreign visitors. Not to forget, the number of French ski resorts is among the highest in the world, with almost 357 ski resorts and 8,000 km of ski runs whatsoever.
