Alexandre Ziegler, the Ambassador of France to India mentioned that he is delighted at the fact that a fresh launching of the non-stop Chennai to Paris has been initiated by Jet Airways. He feels that this new route would greatly improve the air connectivity between France and India.
He has said in a statement that they are eager to lure more Indian travellers to their country since it a positive step in raising their volume.
The launching of direct flight service would facilitate business travel from the French and Indian industries, he added. The officials of Jet Airways said that the new service would start from 29th October onwards and operate five times a week. It would also complement the existing daily service between Mumbai and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Vinay Dube who is the CEO of Jet Airways said that they are delighted to be the first airline to operate a non-stop service to Paris with their codeshare partners Air France, Delta Air Lines and KLM.
The flight is said to connect guests to more than 50 destinations in Europe and 20 onwards in North America, highlighting their continued emphasis to expand airline connectivity from south India to meet the rising demand for travel from region, as revealed by Mr. Dube.
In 2016 France had welcomed 5.52 lakh tourists.
