JetBlue Airways New York’s Hometown Airline™, today announces an exclusive live performance by Phillip Phillips on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 3 p.m. ET. Since his “American Idol” win, Phillip’s single “Home” has remained on top of the charts. He will perform “Home” as well as other selections from his debut CD, “The World From The Side Of The Moon,” at a special Live From T5 concert this President’s Day.

JetBlue’s Live From T5 concerts are held post-security at Terminal 5 (T5) at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and are available exclusively to ticketed customers and contest winners. JetBlue and Phillip Phillips have partnered with Interscope Records to provide tickets to some of Phillip’s most deserving fans to attend this special performance.

Phillip’s debut single “Home” was released the day he won “American Idol” and has since reached triple platinum status. “Home” showcases Phillip’s rich vocals and masterful guitar skills and marked the biggest opening sales week for an “American Idol” winner’s coronation song. Phillip’s debut album, “The World From The Side Of The Moon” was released on 19 Entertainment/Interscope Records in November. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard top 200 chart and was recently certified gold. Phillip’s new single “Gone, Gone, Gone” is available now. Phillip is currently opening for Matchbox 20 on the group’s North American tour.

“I spend so much time running through airports,” said Phillip Phillips, singer/songwriter. “It will be nice to stop and perform and meet some fans at the JetBlue Terminal in New York.”

“JetBlue’s Live From T5 concert series is a unique platform that allows us to connect to our customers in a meaningful way. These special concerts create strong brand affinity by offering our customers an exclusive sneak peek at performers that are currently climbing the charts,” said Lisa Borromeo, JetBlue’s director of brand management and advertising. “We are invested in providing something special to our customers both in the air and on the ground. We’re excited to feature Phillip Phillips in our next concert.”

Over the past three years, JetBlue’s Live From T5 concert series has not only served as a launching pad for emerging artists but enhanced the travel experience with live entertainment for customers traveling through JetBlue’s Terminal 5. These surprise shows have featured performances by an array of artists across musical genres including The Wanted, Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, Il Volo, Jason Derulo, James Blunt, Sarah McLachlan and Daughtry.
