Join in the festivities as Fáilte Ireland’s Discover Ireland campaign brings 2FM’s Tubridy Show to Westport, Rosses Point and Dunfanaghy on Ireland’s west coast from 8 – 10 June to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Wild Atlantic Way. This is just one of a series of outside broadcasts which will see Ryan Tubridy focussing on the west coast tourism route, encouraging Irish holidaymakers to get out and discover the wonders of Ireland’s western seaboard.
The 2FM team have a busy schedule as the popular host broadcasts live from Westport, Co Mayo (Monday, 8 June); Rosses Point, Sligo (Tuesday, 9 June) and Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal (Wednesday, 10 June) interviewing local tourism businesses from the surrounding area and discussing some of the many activities and experiences available to anyone travelling along the western seaboard.
Fáilte Ireland is encouraging everyone to come out and attend the broadcasts. Looking forward to the arrival of the popular 2FM show, Fiona Monaghan, Fáilte Ireland’s Head of Wild Atlantic Way, said –
“We are delighted that Ryan has decided to experience the Wild Atlantic Way first-hand and more importantly tell his listeners all about it. This is the second consecutive year the show has chosen to showcase the Wild Atlantic Way. This year, spectators who come down to watch the broadcast in either Westport, Rosses Point or Dunfanaghy can expect to see plenty of festivities including cooking demonstrations, ice cream vans and of course plenty of prize giveaways. We are encouraging everyone to come on down and join us in bringing the Wild Atlantic Way to cars and kitchens right across the country.”
Follow the Wild Atlantic Way Wanderers as they regal Ryan of their adventures as they enjoy a week-long staycation along the route compliments of Discover Ireland. They will be interviewed each morning updating listeners on the wonderful activities which will include; pizza making with local produce in Barna; cave runs in Ballina, Co. Mayo; seaweed baths in Enniscrone, Co. Sligo; coasteering (a mixture of adventure swimming, jumping and scrambling along the coastline) and surfing lessons in Co. Donegal.
The show will broadcast from 8:45am – 11:00 at:
