At the World Travel Market or WTM, the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) will be participating in the conference as part of its initiations to endorse Jordanian tourism. It’s one of the largest specialized tourism exhibitions in the world running from November 6th till 8th.
Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director General of JTB, will lead the Jordanian delegation, as confirmed by JTB statement on Monday.
The national representation comprises JTB members, employees of the Royal Jordanian Airlines, along with travel and tourism offices and Jordanian hotels.
In the statement, Arabiyat emphasized the significance of the participation of Jordan, mentioning that the WTM is one of the largest touristic events worldwide, luring participation of representatives from over 150 countries in the world.
The delegation’s participation in the four-day event aims to promote Jordan and “place it on the international tourism map”, he said.
Arabiyat observed that the WTM works as a platform for different tourism destinations and industry sectors to be offered to British and international industry experts.
The event offers an opportunity for the industry experts to meet, network and negotiate, at the same time fortifying their relationship and create new partnerships as well.
Arabiyat mentioned that the JTB and other stakeholders have partaken in a number of tourist exhibitions in many targeted nations, as part of its promotional plan for the current year.
