His name is Mike Sabev and he is appointed as the destination sales executive of Marriott in Chicago. In his new role Sabev is working closely with the sales team to raise the hotel revenue through strategic group placement, effective site visits and also collaborating with the area sales teams.
In partnership with the larger sales team of JW Marriott Chicago, Sabev aims to achieve group revenue goals for the hotel and also implement the JW brand service strategy and initiatives in all the different aspects of the sales process.
Sabev ushers in a range of operations, sales and multi-brand experience to the downtown Chicago hotel.
He joins the JW Marriott Chicago team after working with the Hiltons of Chicago since April 2017 as a group sales manager. Prior to his work with the Hiltons of Chicago, Sabev had also held different roles including Bellman to Group Sales Manager.
In 2013, Sabev was a Reception Ambassador at the Renaissance Schaumburg who had been assisting with hotel guest satisfaction.
In 2014 he had advanced from a front office agent to learning coach at Ritz-Carlton Buckhead and was tasked with responsibilities.
The responsibilities included training new front office employees and creating strategies to increase guest engagement. From 2015 to 2017 Sabev had developed partner relationships to exceed revenue goals at Hilton Atlanta as group sales manager and had averaged over $1 million in mid-small market corporate sales.
