As part of the Today Loves Australia series, the popular breakfast program will be broadcast from South Australia on Tuesday.
Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said the State Government was instrumental in bringing the hugely successful show to South Australia.
“Today has an enormous viewership daily plus a social media reach of more than one million. This is a huge opportunity to showcase South Australia,” Mr Bignell said.
“There will be special features on food and wine experiences from Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale as well as a look at Coober Pedy.
“We expect hosts Lisa Wilkinson, Karl Stefanovic and Richard Wilkins will be absolutely enamoured with South Australia.
“This is a great chance to show the nation the best of our tourism regions and give viewers a glimpse from their lounge rooms.”
National tourism award-winning cellar door Pindarie, in the Barossa, will be the backdrop for the full live broadcast.
Pindarie business and brand manager Charles Edwards said it would be an exciting event for the winery and the Barossa community.
“We are looking forward to hosting the Today team and showcasing the picturesque Barossa at this time of year,” Mr Edwards said.
The broadcast will involve live coverage from 5.30am to 9am with local talent and tourism operators featured in the program.
Today loves Australia is a week-long series of broadcasts from around the country and will also take in Kakadu, Port Douglas, Byron Bay and the Gold Coast.
