With the introduction of a thrice-weekly service between Nairobi and Cape Town in July this year, Kenya Airways has become the only carrier to offer a direct service between Livingstone and Cape Town.
Kenya’s national flag carrier will operate the service to its second South African destination after Johannesburg on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a stopover at Livingstone, Zambia, the gateway to Victoria Falls.
These flights will depart Nairobi at 7.20 am, arriving in Livingstone at 9:30 am for a 50-minute stop and arriving at Cape Town International Airport at 1.25 pm. The return flight will depart Cape Town at 2.25 pm to arrive in Nairobi at 10 pm with a 50-minutes stopover in Livingstone.
Kenya Airways Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mbuvi Ngunze said in a statement in Nairobi on Wednesday that the airline was excited to add a new destination to its network and would continue to connect Africa to the world and the world to Africa.
“Cape Town via Livingstone will offer our guests two holiday destination on one route,” he said.
The service will be operated using Embraer E190 aircraft with a configuration of 12 business class seats and 84 seats in economy class.
