Kenya take to aggressive marketing to revive tourism

Make it KenyaKenya takes to aggressive marketing initiative “Make it Kenya”, to position its destination at the top in terms of trade, tourism and investment.

 

The hard work of the country paid off in the 2016 Transform Mena Awards, where the country received the Best Place or Nation Brand in Dubai. The awards recognize best practices in corporate product and global brand development work with categories that focus on strategy, execution, content and evaluation.

 

 

Several terror attacks in the country have kept investors and stakeholders away from the country which has largely affected the country’s economy. The award will help in revving the image of the country.

 

 

Brand Kenya Board acting Chief executive officer Mary Luseka said that the brand intends to inspire pride in Kenyans and call for action for business interest in Kenya providing tourists with engaging selections of branded content.

 

 

The country launched its first aggressive marketing campaign that was developed by the Ministry of tourism and officially launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Milan expo last year. The campaign is helping the country to gain positive vibe in the international scene.

 

 

 

The country has bagged many awards in this period. Last month it received the Africa Excellence Award under the Travel and Tourism for social media campaign Mara live.
