Kerala Homestay and Tourism Society (HATS) is going to organise a three day second edition of the International Homestay and Rural Tourism Meet in Kochi in Ernakulam District of South Indian state of Kerala.
Kerala Homestay and Tourism Society (HATS) will organise the three-day second edition of International Homestay and Rural Tourism Meet in Kochi from September 15.
The main objective of the International Home stay and Rural Tourism Meet is to improve the business tourism opportunities in the state for Home stay providers, serviced villas and Grihastelly providing a platform to network with industry players.
Homestay and Rural Tourism Meet is one of the largest Business 2 business events for homestays and rural tourism in the country which will also be attended by National and International tour operators, entrepreneurs and destination management companies.
Homestay and Rural Tourism Meet will open at Bolghatty Palace wherein 1500 participants are expected to take part.
Mr. P Bala Kiran, the Director of Kerala Tourism said that home stays are inevitable part of state tourism which helps the industry to connect with the travel enthusiasts.
This B2B meet is expected to converse on the recommendations to boost the rural tourism sector.
Mr.Sivadathan, Director of Kerala Homestay and Tourism Society said that the general travel trend of tourists in these days is not just a visit to the place. It is to experience the food and culture.
Adventure tourism workshop, HATS meet in Kochi will all add value to the government’s current initiative in rebranding Kerala Tourism and project the state tourism globally in the appropriate manner, he added.
Once the tourism business sector grows with its potential, there will be a huge job opportunity in Homestay business.
