On 14th June at nightfall, a two-year-old kid was snatched and dragged into the water by an alligator, near Disney World Resort and Spa at Orlando in Florida. The alligator took the child inside the Seven Seas Lagoon near the resort and there is no sign of the kid since then.
About 9:21 at night, the sheriff’s office received a telephone call reporting the abduction of the child. Till then, a search and rescue operation is under process for the distressed child. Reedy Creek fire rescue along with Florida Fish and Wildlife, is helping the sheriff’s office in the rescue mission.
Currently people are searching the water of the man-made Lagoon, which is 14 feet in depth and which was made for boating activities. The Disney resort is just a monorail stop away from the park.
This is the second time, when alligators made it to the news this month. Last week, a piece of human remain was found in the mouth of a Florida alligator.
Although, the rescue team is doing the best that they can, but still the chances of finding the kid unharmed is very thin.
Getting snatched by alligators in Disney resorts would be the last thing that tourists might expect for their kids during family vacation.
