When the condition of the child started to deteriorated, the cruise authorities requested for an airlift. The NYPD officials got a call around 8pm regarding help for a drowning victim.
The NYPD aviation unit informed that the condition of the kid is critical. The unit took the kid straight to the Staten Island University Hospital.
The cruise was heading towards Caribbean from Bayonne in New Jersey. The cruise was 10 miles away from Breezy Point in Queens, when the incident occurred.
The little boy was cruising with a large group of people from Maryland. The cruise ship returned to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port on Thursday 30th June at night.
In February’16, the Anthem of the Seas got tossed and turned inside rough seas near North Carolina. The passengers of the cruise ship had to hunker down in their own room for 12 long hours, near Cape Hatteras in North Carolina.
