Air New Zealand launches new global marketing campaign in Singapore. Pete, a CGI flightless kiwi bird shows travellers ‘A better way to fly to New Zealand’. The kiwi bird is New Zealand’s national icon and Pete highlights classic Kiwi hospitality and the offerings of Air New Zealand. Pete cannot fly but wants to see the world around.

Singapore is amongst the top 10 countries of visitor arrivals to New Zealand.  As of October 2018, we recorded a seven per cent year-on-year increase in visitor arrivals from Singapore. To boost growth in the visitor arrivals from Singapore, several efforts have been made.

A new seasonal service between Singapore and Christchurch will start operating from December 2019. A capacity increase is on the cards in the Singapore-Auckland route last year.

Ahead of the launch of ‘A better way to fly to New Zealand’ campaign in Singapore, Air New Zealand cabin crew hit the streets and interviewed Singaporeans to uncover their perception of a “kiwi”, which brought about some unexpected and quirky responses.

Air New Zealand’s Head of South & South East Asia Jenni Martin says: “This new brand campaign seeks to engage more Singaporeans and showcase our award-winning products and in-flight experience. Together with the increased flight options and flexibility Air New Zealand provides, we truly believe that we are A better way to fly to New Zealand. We hope to encourage more Singaporeans to head to New Zealand with Air New Zealand and experience our unique Kiwi hospitality and stunning destinations.”
