Last Friday, Korea Grand Sale, the annual shopping tourism festival witnessed chain of free retail promotions luring tourists across the globe and boost visitor spending. The festival has started from 20th January and will continue till 28th February. It is geared toward highlighting the key commercial and cultural attractions of Korea to the foreign visitors. Besides shopping, the festival also brings forth various tourist activities along with promoting ‘Korean Wave’.
Promotions and discounts from top hotels, department stores, airlines, theme parks and duty free shops are the main features of Korean Grand Sale. Individual Chinese tourists are being requested to make purchases through UnionPay which would enhance sales in return as every 1 in 2 visitors in South Korea is a Chinese.
Foreign Tourists received a grand welcome on the day of the celebration at Incheon International Airport on Friday. Tour guides dressed in traditional Korean attire took the festival to further heights. Galleria 63 Duty Free is providing 50% discount on different items at the festival. On the other hand, Doota Duty Free is providing 30% discount with further 5% discount from 9 pm till midnight on various purchases.
