korean-airLate on Saturday two German fighter jets had been deployed with an aim to assist an aircraft of Korean Air land in Stutgart after it had lost contact with the controllers of air traffic.

This plane was carrying 200 people and was flying to Zurich from Seoul.

It was during this point of time that the communication with the air controllers on southwest Germany abruptly broke down.

The fighters were sent and then they escorted the plane to Stutgart without any incident, according to a spokeswoman of the airport who reported about the incident to the German news agency.

The passengers of the flight were forced to spend the night on camp beds inside the airport terminal prior to being driven to Zurich in buses early on Sunday.

This interception of Saturday was the second one in two days for the German air force. On Friday, two pilots were sent to help an Egyptian plane. But then, the communications problems were fixed before the arrival of the fighters.
