Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre100 excited children from Living HOPE* and Yayasan Generasi Gemilang* (GG) unleashed their inner talent, when they channelled their creativity towards painting ‘Hari Raya’-themed pieces, during the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s (the Centre) buka puasa get together. In addition, to celebrate the Centre’s partnership with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF)* Malaysia, the venue also invited 50 NKF patients and their families to join the buka puasa gathering.

After the fun-filled and interactive session, it was on to the dining table for the young and
new VIPs to enjoy traditional ‘Kampung Classics’ and contemporary buka puasa fare presented by the Centre’s award-winning 51-strong culinary team.

Elaborating on the occasion, the Centre’s Deputy General Manager, Simon Lomas, said “in the spirit of Ramadan, we are pleased to add to the number of guests this year and welcome NKF patients and their families to our annual buka puasa gathering. This year’s
event marks the 11 th consecutive edition of our buka puasa get together and it’s great to
see so much joy and happiness filling our venue.”

Dr Peggy Wong, Founder and Chairman of Living HOPE, thanked the Centre for hosting
this annual outing. “Every year, the Centre’s team go above and beyond to make the
occasion extra memorable with creative and fun activities. The children always enjoy the
interactive activities as well as the delicious 5-star buka puasa feast.”

“The Centre’s buka puasa is one the children look forward to and it is wonderful to see
an organisation like the Centre committed to treating the underprivileged each year,”
said GG Founder, Mr. Daniel Tan. “More important though, is the close bond this event
has fostered between the Centre’s team members and the children.”

The outing was brought to a fitting conclusion with Simon Lomas and the senior management team handing out goody bags containing cookies and sweets courtesy of the Culinary team, and duit raya to the young VIPs from Living Hope, GG and NKF.
