Ahead of the onslaught of the summer travel season, Kuwait’s Minister of Communications and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Essa Al-Kandari, toured airport to assess the preparation. The Minister stressed on the need to have all airport-related streamlining projects completed in record time.
The minister examined the projects on the expansion of departure and arrival halls, and the increase in passenger service counters to more than double their previous numbers, a press statement issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) noted.
To ease the burden of waiting for departing passengers, the (DGCA) has expanded two waiting halls for such passengers where they can wait in comfort for their departing flights, said the statement.
Furthermore, the minister looked over airport flight schedules, counseling officials to space these schedules out so that there would not be concentrations in some flight times causing passenger congestion at departure halls, said the statement.
