Forthcoming public holidays and Christmas season, La Cala Spa has designed a package specially for any golfer who would like to receive personalised treatments. Over-exertion, technical faults and a poor stance can cause muscle fatigue, all of which can negatively influence a golfer’s game and swing. Aware of these problems that golfers may experience, the managers at La Cala Resort have decided to offer therapy aimed at improving golfers’ physical and mental condition before the game, as well as alleviating strain and toning muscles after play.
La Cala Resort is offering its spa and wellness expertise to golfers so that in record timing, they can ensure they are in top physical condition and are in the best mind-set for the game. To do this, the resort has designed three health treatments to respond to golfers’ specific needs: ‘Positive Energy’, ‘Fusion Flow’ and ‘Upper and Lower Back Health’, designed to prepare the player as much as possible and to tone and reduce muscular tension as a result of playing golf.
The first recommended therapy, ‘Positive Energy’, is made up of a comprehensive treatment which gives you all the energy and mental strength needed to face the game on top form. The session, lasting around 80 minutes, includes body exfoliation, a revitalising body wrap and cleansing vitamin facials. The treatment ends with a massage to tone the legs and ankles.
After the game, one suggested treatment is ‘Fusion Flow’, otherwise known as an energetic toning massage. This is specifically recommended for rapid recovery after a hard day doing sport. This option consists of a toning body muscle massage based on stretches. This treatment couples acupressure with an effective combination of Western and Oriental techniques. All of this has been designed to restore the body’s energy and to relax the golfer’s muscles.
The second option for after the game is ‘Upper and Lower Back Health’ which consists of an intensive treatment for the areas of the body most affected by playing golf. Its aim is to restore the golfer’s physical condition after they have been practising their swing. This treatment is aimed at focusing on specific parts of the body. The session is made up of an intensive neck, back and shoulder massage which will have relaxing anti-inflammatory effects on the body due to the thermo-active thermal mud used as part of the treatment.
La Cala Spa offers, amongst other facilities, a hydrotherapy pool, an exercise pool, a Jacuzzi, sauna, a herbal steam room, a hamman, tropical showers, an igloo, tepidarium, various treatment rooms, as well as a relaxation and massage area.
