In order to attract more international visitors to the Lake District, the region invited a group of London-based Chinese tourism agents to learn more about the place and what the area has new to offer. More than a dozen Chinese travel organizations have been hosted by the Lake District China Forum to find out the key attractions based in and around Windermere.
The tour included some of the finest attractions like first rate rail journey to Oxenholme. From there, the group was accompanied by Mountain Goat Tours to witness the Grasmere Gingerbread shop, Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage, and Brockhole followed by a lunch stop at The Wild Boar at Crook.
A comprehensive guided tour was also offered around the ongoing development of Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa. Luckily, the group members were the first to stay in the revamped hotel rooms. It was re-opened after construction of the first phase was completed. In the forthcoming days, a new restaurant named ‘Blue Smoke on the Bay’ along with spa and health club facilities are to be opened in that hotel.
Additionally, new ‘Club House’ or number of rooms and suites are to be added in the autumn to the hotel.
