Lance Lyttle hired as Managing Director, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Port of SeattlePort of Seattle CEO Ted J. Fick has hired Lance Lyttle as the new Managing Director of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Mr. Lyttle will join the port effective January 26, 2016, as a member of the executive team reporting directly to the CEO.


“Mr. Lyttle brings with him a breadth of experience and depth of knowledge of airport operations, having worked in both Atlanta and Houston, and is well acclimated to the rigors of major airline competition,” said CEO Fick. “He will bring fresh energy and perspectives to this role.”


Mr. Lyttle is a growth-oriented executive who has led multi-year strategic development efforts with capital budgets in excess of $3 billion at Houston airports, and played a key role in the $6 billion development program in Atlanta. As the current Chief Operating Officer for Houston’s three airports, he is familiar with all aspects of operating major airports, including implementation of new ground base operations, terminal construction, introduction of new airline business, and finding continual improvements and efficiencies in all lines of business.

Since the first scheduled commercial flights in 1947, it has become one of the largest airports in the nation, a major contributor to the regional economy and a leader in environmental stewardship.


With a regional economic impact of more than $16.3 billion in business revenue, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport generates more than 171,750 jobs, of which almost 110,000 are direct jobs, representing more than $2.8 billion in direct earnings and $565 million in state and local taxes.
