Last Minute Sales on Croatia Small Ship Cruises

Katarina LineAward-winning DMC and small ship cruise company Katarina Line announced a series of last-minute, end-of-summer specials that include a wellness focused August 19th yoga cruise that explores the picturesque old towns and scenic coastlines of Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Islands. Prices for the one-week cruise aboard its Category A+ vessel, Jadranska Kraljica, start at $1,037, based on double occupancy, a saving of $58 off the regular price. Katarina Line is also offering $170 off on the August 19th departure of its Deluxe Liberty vessel, which cruise the Dubrovnik-to-Split route. With the discount, prices start at $1,394 per person, based on double occupancy, subject to availability, and valid till day of departure. An Easy Stretch
Katarina Line’s yoga cruise offers the perfect combination of activities that focus on personal wellbeing, sightseeing and culinary adventures. Mornings are spent on the sundeck or onshore practicing yoga with a certified instructor, surrounded by the spectacular coastlines of Croatia and the Dalmatian Islands. Guests can follow their morning stretch with a swim in the cool waters of the Adriatic Sea. Afternoons and evenings can be devoted to exploring the historic towns and popular attractions, discovering new cuisine, and enjoying the nightlife of its many famous towns.

Departing from Split, cruise highlights include a visit to Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. According to legends, the island was found by Trojan hero Anthenor in the 12th century B.C. Guests will also visit the famous Green cave in Ravnik and its “sister” attraction, the Blue cave, in Biševo. The itinerary also includes a visit to the island of Hvar and its famous Stari Grad Field, the best preserved example of ancient Greek system of agriculture and part of a UNESCO world heritage site.

For a change of pace, yoga sessions may be held in such “perfect spots” as Bol, a fisherman’s village on the island of Brač, off the coast of Split. Guests can then indulge in dishes featuring fresh fish, local wines and other delicacies unique to the island. They can hike the island’s excellent trails, as well as rent bicycles or scooters to visit such spots as Vidova Gora, which offers a breathtaking view of Bol and its surroundings.

Prices for the yoga cruise include spacious, air-conditioned cabins with private baths and double or twin beds, a Captain’s dinner and sightseeing on Korčula and Split.

Taking ‘Liberty’
The one-way cruises aboard the Deluxe Liberty vessel envelopes guests in luxury and style, with spacious, air-conditioned cabins and private bathrooms. The ship also features a Jacuzzi, ample sundecks, and an elegant dining area. Starting in Dubrovnik, the cruise visits the islands of Slano, Ston, Mljet, Korčula, Vis, Biševo, and Hvar. It lays down final anchor at Split, the second-largest city in Croatia.

Cruise highlights include a visit to the fortified village of Ston, famous for its medieval ramparts and oysters. The itinerary takes in the scenic lakes and waterfalls of the Plitvice Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with a boat ride on the lake. On the island of Mljet, guests can stroll the famous salt lakes and take a boat ride to St. Mary Isle to visit an ancient Benedictine monastery, an old abbey and a church dating back to the 12th century. They can also rent kayaks, bicycles, scooters, and even cars to go sightseeing around its famous National Park. Other highlights feature a visit to the island of Biševo, to tour its famous Blue cave.
