A plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Manchester after “someone had thrown something solid” down one of the toilets, and made all the lavatories out of action. The Pakistan International Airlines flight, travelling to the subcontinent from Toronto, Canada was diverted to Britain. The airline passengers were delayed for five hours because all the toilets on their plane were blocked.
The airline condemned the guilty individual for causing the delay and diversion. It was further stated by the authority that the “passengers need to strictly adhere to and carefully read the warning signs in the toilets.” The Boeing 777-200 had left Toronto and was heading for the city of Lahore in Pakistan when the problem was discovered midair over the North Sea. It was then diverted to 320km to Manchester for fixing the problem before resuming its journey across Europe and Asia. The plane took another hour to reach Manchester and then was on the ground for another three hours before it could take off again. The flight landed with a delay of five hours.
