After ten months of major renovation works and an investment of 7 million euros, the Albatros – hosting venue for the 100th French Open and the 2018 Ryder Cup matches, is getting ready for the eagerly awaited reopening on May 1st.
It will unveil its new Ryder Cup lay out, designed to offer the best possible game conditions, spectators’ experience and drama to the greatest worldwide golf team event which will take place two years later. In order to share this key moment in the golf club’s history with overseas golf fans, Le Golf National launches, from May 22nd to 28th, the 2nd Edition of its flagship event: the International Golf Week 2016.
Supported by 600 golfers coming from five different countries, Le Golf National successfully kicked off the 1st Edition of this international week comprised of six days of competition, in May 2015. This year, the experience will be just as memorable, original and exclusive with team and individual game formats, entertainment and services worthy of outstanding private competitions. Golfers will enjoy a warm welcome & breakfast, a tee-gift, a warm-up session on the driving range, a lunch box, a round on the Aigle or Albatros course together with a prize giving cocktail and Champagne. Like the Washing Machine Challenge and the Golf Contest arranged last year, innovative challenges will be set to golfers seeking new sensations.
Six prestigious major partners support this event and will offer exceptional prizes. Three of them have renewed their involvement: golf equipment brands Wilson and Mizuno as well as the luxury accessories brand Decayeux.
Three new ones join: Terre Blanche, PGA Catalunya and Maxx Royal Belek. Three world-class resorts which are part of the European Tour Properties’ network, like Le Golf National. Finally the French monthly, Golf Magazine, is part of the event as a Media Partner.
All-inclusive packages, including the golf day and the onsite accommodation at the Novotel Saint-Quentin, are available to let golfers make the most of their golf break.
