On 9th of September, the two day International Conference on Tourism hosted by the Department of Tourism Studies, Central University of Kashmir or CUK and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India took place at Leh.
Nawang Rigzen Jora, MLA Leh, was the chief guest at the valedictory function.
While speaking to the gathering, Jora mentioned about different strategies that the Jammu and Kashmir Government can take on to help tourism the industry to thrive in all the three regions of the State.
Minni Prasanna (ISS), Director Marketing Research, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India also participated in the event and was the guest of honour. She addressed the participants about the way the Ministry of Tourism and the central funding opportunities for the institutes work together.
The conference was attended by 146 delegates and resource persons roughly across the country.
