Long distance trains to promote tourism in J&K

There are a lot of voices and concerns for promoting State tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. Among them are plans to arrange collaboration with the Indian Railways as a mode of publicity.

A properly planned footfall in tourism can bring in more tourists resulting in huge economic turnover and spreading of more tourism related activities and consequent economic prosperity.

In order to provide much-needed boost to the tourism promotion in Jammu and Kashmir, Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Tourism and Culture has recommended a range of measures to the Union Government among which are ways to release funds, keeping air fares under reasonable limit and starting tourist trains from all metro cities of the country.
