Los Angeles and Auckland connected by American Airlines

American AirlinesThe world’s largest airline company American Airlines introduces its daily services from Los Angeles International Airport to Auckland, New Zealand.

 

The new route offers a gateway from London’s Heathrow Airport to New Zealand, building on American’s growing trans-Pacific network.

 

Over the last three years, American Airlines has added six new trans-Pacific routes, nearly doubling its presence in the region.

 

The American Airlines will be introducing its newest fleet the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, for passengers travelling from Los Angeles to Auckland.

 

The new Dreamliner features a state-of-the-art on-board experience including satellite Wi-Fi to keep customers connected while travelling, as well as higher humidity and pressurization, leaving customers more refreshed after their flight.

 

The business class of the airline is configured with 28 fully lie-flat Business Class seats, each with direct-aisle access.

 

Customers sitting in Premium Economy will enjoy a leather seat featuring 38 inches of pitch with extendable foot, leg and head rests, personal on-demand entertainment systems and larger touch screen monitors. When flying international, customers will receive noise reducing headphones and amenity kits, and will enjoy enhanced meal service with complimentary wine, beer and spirits. Premium Economy customers will be able to check one bag free of charge.

 

Andrew Nocella, American’s chief marketing officer said, that the 787-9 is going to be a fantastic addition to the widebody fleet, with international Wi-Fi and an inflight experience that’s second to none. The existing widebodies will offer Premium Economy as they will  retrofit the cabins and continue to elevate the entire travel experience with a $3 billion investment.

 

David Thomas, sales director, UK & Ireland, American Airlines commented on the importance of the new route that, American Airlines network from the UK continues to expand with new 1 stop connections from London Heathrow to Auckland via Los Angeles.

 

For passengers beginning their journey at London Heathrow, American Airlines operates two daily non-stop flights to Los Angeles departing from Heathrow Terminal 3.
