LOT passengers will check in at terminal T7 at JFK Airport in New York starting January 4th. The operation of LOT flights at New York airport will be transferred from Terminal 1 used up till now. The new terminal will be more comfortable for the passengers using it, and thanks to the reduction of taxiing to gate and to the runway to the minimum, LOT passengers will be able to save time.
The transfer of flight operations from the current terminal T1 to terminal T7 at JFK Airport is yet another step taken by LOT within the efforts aimed at enhancing operation standards and expansion of passenger facilitations. The terminal will be modified, check-in desks will be modernised, the security control zone will be widened, and the status passengers will be able to use a Fast Track service.
“We want to make travelling with LOT as comfortable as possible, not only on-board, but also at all airports to which we fly. Because of that we decided to transfer check-ins to Terminal 7. It is a modern facility which guarantees efficient service at the highest level,” said Adrian Kubicki, LOT’s Acting Spokesperson.
Moreover, a great benefit of transferring flight operations of the Polish carrier to terminal T7 is the reduction of plane taxiing time to gate and to runway even to 10 minutes!
“Every minute counts for our passengers. We are striving to meet that requirement. Our Dreamliners are planes which are not only modern, but also faster than standard jets. We do not want to waste the time saved in the air during taxiing or waiting for the gate at the airport. Terminal 7 at JFK Airport will make it possible for us,” the Spokesperson added.
LOT flies to the United States on everyday basis and it offers the shortest and the most comfortable journey across the ocean from Poland and from Central Europe. All long-haul flights are operated using the most modern planes in the world – Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Flights to New York operate 5 times a week in the winter season and 11 times a week in the summer season. There will be even more connections from next year. Already in the summer season LOT will increase its presence on the route between Warsaw and New York JFK to 12 flights a week.
LOT offers three exceptional travel classes on their board – LOT Business Class with reclined, flat bed seats and restaurant service; LOT Premium Class with wide and spacious seats and extensive menu as well as comfortable LOT Economy class. Regardless of the class, all passengers will have at their disposal personal screens with entertainment system, which will while away each journey across the ocean.
