The Louisville CVB received Gold Awards for several of its PR and marketing initiatives, including: Digital Advertising: (Social Media Videos); Digital Promotional: (Bourbon & Biscuits Digital Video Series); Direct Promotion – Single Item: (Convention 3-D Pop-Up Mailer); Event/Meeting/Conference Material: (Feeder Market Pop-Up Events); and Public Relations Campaign: (I Am Ali Tourism).
The 2017 Traverse Awards were presented during the Kentucky Travel Industry Association’s annual conference, held Oct. 23-25 in Louisville. Travel professionals in the Bluegrass were honored for their talent, creativity and effectiveness in marketing and public relations. A panel of industry experts in the areas of marketing, public relations and tourism from outside of Kentucky judged the entries.
The Louisville CVB also brought home three Silver Awards and six Bronze Awards. Other Louisville attractions honored with Traverse Awards include the Kentucky State Fair Board, the Kentucky Derby Museum and the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience.
The Louisville CVB was also recognized during the conference by TripAdvisor for being one of the “Top 10 Destinations on the Rise in the U.S.” The honor is part of the American travel website company’s 2016 Traveler’s Choice Awards, which recognize exceptional properties and destinations.
The Kentucky Travel Industry Association is a Frankfort-based organization that represents every segment of Kentucky’s tourism industry.
