It made an overnight visit to Bermuda on Monday and it was part of a positioning cruise. This cruise ship had arrived from Madeira and was heading towards Miami. From Miami, it would embark upon a new schedule of Caribbean cruises.
The tourism officials led a welcome delegation. And, it also presented a plaque onboard the cruise ship.
Michael Fahy, the Minister of Tourism Transport and Municipalities declared that this cruise ship would return to Bermuda for as many as three visits next year in the months of March and October.
Seven Seas Explorer is owned by Norwegian Cruise Lines and it is also a flagship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
It is capable of providing accommodation for about 750 passengers.
The fares for a Caribbean cruise for 14 nights from Miami that would make stopovers at places like Basseterre in St. Kitts, Fort-de-France in Martinique and Bridgetown in Barbados start from $7,599.
