Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) receives overwhelming response from the trade fraternity as well as consumers visiting the 3 day long annual event OTM’s, Mumbai edition.The staggering growth in India’s outbound numbers to Macau continues to attract Macau industry representatives from travel agencies, hotels, resorts and the MICE and entertainment segments to India.
The exhibit at OTM was much appreciated by the media as well as the visitors at the exhibition. The MGTO booth also won in the Best booth category outbound. Macau has always been popular with the Indian leisure and business travellers as well as with the trade partners. The success of the exhibit reconfirmed Macau’s status as one of the most desirable tourist destinations for outbound Indian travellers.
Macau India received a heartening response from the trade fraternity as there were a lot of queries coming in for new developments and entertainment options available in Macau for business and leisure travellers alike. The trade fraternity was also enthusiastic about stimulation programmes introduced by Macau for weddings, business incentives and student excursions.
The representatives at Macau exhibit volleyed all sorts of queries coming in from all quarters of trade and consumers. All the queries were responded to in a pro active manner by the representatives at the exhibit. The response to Macau’s initiatives from the consumers was overwhelming. Being a short haul destination there were a lot of queries from the consumers for Macau as a family destination.
Macau, a Happening Destination
Macau is basking in the spotlight, thanks to the opening of multi-billion dollar resorts and luxury hotels. A Special Administrative Region of China, the 29.7 sq km territory has metamorphosed into a family entertainment centre. More deluxe resorts will make their debut, shifting the focus from roulette to razzmatazz, convention tourism and family entertainment.
Modern buildings rub shoulders with restored colonial edifices, churches, Chinese gardens and temples…. Plug into Macau’s Chinese-Portuguese heart.
Apart from the nightlife and the glittering shows, young adventurers can get an adrenaline rush at the Macau Tower by plunging down the world’s highest commercial bungy jump (233 m), sky jumping or by embarking on a sky walk along the tower’s outer rim.
