Macdonald Windsor Hotel has won a Silver Award in the Business Tourism category at the Beautiful South’s Awards for Excellence 2013-14, which were presented last evening (Wednesday 27th November) at a gala dinner and presentation ceremony at the Felbridge Hotel, West Sussex.
The annual Beautiful South Awards, which are now in their 23rd year, recognise businesses and destinations across the tourism industry for their exceptional levels of customer service and dedication to raising standards. The winners were announced by hosts Ken Robinson CBE, Chairman, Tourism South East (TSE) and travel journalist and broadcaster Alison Rice.
Delighted with the award Beverley Molmans, General Manager at Macdonald Windsor, said; “To be recognised for business excellence and quality is a wonderful accolade for our team whose commitment ensures the highest standards for our guests”.
Commenting on the awards Ken Robinson said; “It is great to see such excellence rewarded. These awards represent the culmination of hard work and dedication by the best tourism professionals, in our best tourism businesses, that have been recognised for providing such outstanding customer experiences.”
A member of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts Signature Collection, the four AA red star Macdonald Windsor Hotel has also been shortlisted for the coveted Hotel Catey Green Hotel of the Year Award and recently won Silver in the Green Tourism Business Scheme awards. The group was also awarded AA Hotel Group of the Year 2013/14.
With plush interiors designed by Amanda Rose, the boutique townhouse hotel has 120 bedrooms including ten luxurious suites with views of Windsor Castle.
