In a press conference at Hotel Classic Grande yesterday, Anil Madhav Dave, the environment and climate change minister expressed that the Central has committed to incorporate the Loktak Lake in the world tourism map as it holds huge potential to be developed as the world class eco-tourism site.
The Central with help of ministry will write to the international bodies to proceed with the activities to incorporate Loktak Lake in world tourism map.
Anil Madhav had also expressed that he already talked to officials of the forest department for the necessary activities required for the incorporation. Madhav will take the line of action through his ministry for incorporation after receiving the order from the state government.
The state government should try to incorporate the lake in the international heritage site of UNESCO for the promotion of the lake in world tourism center.
Mr. Madhav expressed that there are many unused wealth within the state and before the politicians touch it, the public should enjoy the wealth.
The main problem lies with state corruption which should be uprooted for incorporation of the Lake in the world map, Madhav expressed.
