gntbMainz’s traditional Midsummer’s Eve Fair, the Johannisnacht, is taking place this year from 19 to 22 June. There will be a fun-packed programme of theatre, concerts and entertainment on six stages in the city centre.

The festival ends on Monday evening with a spectacular firework display over the Rhine – an event not to be missed.

Mainz is also home to a wide array of museums. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the Gutenberg Museum, which is dedicated to the printing press invented by Johannes Gutenberg. While visiting the museum, you can see the Gutenberg Bible, one of the most beautiful books in the world.
