Australia’s Majestic Whale Encounters, which launched whale swim tours in Tonga in 2012, has launched its first eco tour on local shores, with the first departure next April enabling nature lovers to swim with dolphins, turtles, manta rays and Ningaloo’s Reef’s whale sharks in Western Australia.
Bookings for the new 2017 tour made by August 31, 2016, will attract an earlybird saving of $700 per person, twin-share.The exclusive, upscale tour begins in Perth on April 3, 2017, with lunch at Fremantle’s popular Little Creatures brewery before the group heads south to nearby Rockingham for two days spent swimming with dolphins and seeing the region’s fairy penguins and sea lions.
The 10-day itinerary then heads inland for two nights including a lunch and wine tour in Margaret River before a flight north to Exmouth for three days of interaction with the rich marine life of World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef. Aboard a private charter boat, guests will be able to swim with the reef’s huge whale sharks while at Coral Bay they can swim with manta rays, turtles and reef sharks. A spectacular scenic flight over the coral reef is also included.
The guided tour includes nine nights’ accommodation, return flights from Perth to Exmouth, all breakfasts and dinners, seven lunches, transfers, snorkel and wetsuit equipment and private charter swims. Flights to Perth are extra. The tour costs $5100 per person, twin share, including the $700 discount if booked by August 31, 2016.
