Malaysia Airlines flight makes emergency landing due to engine trouble

emergency-landingA Malaysia Airlines flight with more than 300 passengers was forced to return to Melbourne after reports of an engine fire.

 

 

According to the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB), the flight called for fire fighting squad while descending. The Malaysia Airlines flight was scheduled to fly from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur.

 

 

The reports after the emergency landing suggest that there were no injuries and the flight MH148 landed safely. The incident happened shortly after the take off.

 

 

Paramedics are on scene and have so far not had to provide anyone with treatment. Emergency crews were called to the airport around 2:20pm. An MFB spokesman said the fire was out and had dumped fuel before making the emergency landing.
