Malaysia is keeping no stones unturned to become the favorite destination to organize various important global business events. Malaysia won few popular bids at the first half of 2017 to organize world class business events which are anticipated to create a lump sum economic impact of USD7.62 million.
The winning bids are for organizing the World Tunnel Congress or WTC 2020 in juxtaposition with the 46th International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES) General Assembly; the 17th World Congress for Endoscopic Surgery of the Skull Base and Brain (ENDO KL) 2020 and the Congress of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) 2022 respectively.
Mutual attempt, dynamic support and hoards of experience by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the direct control of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, the WTC 2020 is anticipated to create USD4.01 million in terms of economic impact with 1,500 delegates; the ENDO KL 2020 with USD2.05 million in financial impact and 900 delegates; and the IBBY 2022 with USD1.56 million in economic impact and 800 delegates. More than 60 percent of the delegates are suppose to be coming from various foreign countries worldwide.
