Malindo Air flight left the baggage of almost all the passengers, while the flight was scheduled to depart from Bali to Brisbane. Few got their baggage, but about 90% of the passengers did not receive any baggage from the baggage counter. This led the agitation and the confusion among the passengers with the Malindo Air crew.
The flight was scheduled to leave Denpensar Airport at midnight but was delayed for two hours as air technicians tried to sort out the problems regarding the weight. The pilot described the problem as a “weight discrepancy”.
The passengers leaving to Brisbane have boarded the flight and were forced to wait as ground crew sorted out the issue, while on board, all three toilets we also out the action.
Just before 2 am, the pilot told passengers they had “fixed the weight issue” and departed. But it wasn’t they arrived at Brisbane International Airport five hours later. The passengers were waiting at the luggage terminal. But they found that the baggage was left behind by the airlines.
About 63 passengers had no baggage at all. It becomes disturbing and hectic to the passengers and they needed to wait for more hours for their baggage. The airlines authorities also made the disturbances to the passengers about their baggage. Later, the airport authorities intend to the fly their luggage on another flight out to Brisbane, Australia.
Malindo Air is a Malaysia-based budget and low-cost airline transportation service which the routes from South Asian countries to Australia. This company has a joint venture between Malaysia’s National Aerospace and Defence Industries and Indonesia’s Lion Air Group.
