32-year old Matthew Hodges was travelling from Luton towards Mallorca in easyJet flight EZY2277, with his girl friend Zosia Katnik. The captain of the easyJet flight and the crew members were in on the plan but none of the passengers had a cue.
The pilot announced the name and the seat number of the would-be-bride Zosia in the middle of the journey. After the announcement, Matthew got up and proposed Zosia to marry him by giving a long speech. In the mean time, the crew members were holding three cards asking, ‘Will you marry him?’
After Zosia said yes, the crew members presented the happy couple with a bottle of champagne on the house. The easyJet crew also gave the couple a chance to visit the cockpit after the flight finally landed.
An easyJet spokesperson stated, “We were excited to be asked to be involved in the couple’s big moment and would like to congratulate them on their on board engagement.”
EasyJet authority formally wished the couple via twitter by saying, “”She said yes! Congrats to the happy couple Matthew and Zosia who got engaged at 30,000 ft on the way to Majorca!”
